The overall objective of the project is to valorize successful eLearning projects results through the prism of the effects, which ICT applications and innovation introductions in schools have on youth talent development.
The specific objectives of the project are as follows: to accumulate a database of representatives of the project target groups (teachers, mentors, guidance counsellors, pupils, students, administrative staff in schools, political decision makers at all levels, government and administration and education authorities) and inform them about the effects, which ICT application and innovation introductions have upon the process of youth talent development; to disseminate and exploit (valorize) international European dimension eLearning projects results, targeted in the same direction – application of ICT in schools, innovations introduction, talent enhancement; to elaborate a mechanism for responding to inquiries and problems connected with the application of ICT and innovations introduction for the purpose of developing youths’ talents on a European basis following the achievements of the valorized eLearning projects products; to exploit the newly elaborated mechanism for the benefit of the talented youths throughout Europe.
Approach: The partners in the three partner countries are going to elaborate a large database of interested educational institutions (schools), by means of providing them with information on the project, the expected project developments and results, as well as their role in the project developments; inform these educational institutions about the benefits, which the application of ICT and innovations introduction would bring for the purpose of fostering the youth talents development. Preliminary interviews with representatives of the educational institutions will be conducted. Representatives of the coordinating organizations of a group of selected eLearning projects will be invited to take part in a valorization event, which will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria for 2 days and at which the lecturers will present the results of their projects and matchmaking will be sought for the purpose of responding to needs of the process of talent development in the three partnering countries under this project proposal. In close cooperation with the lecturers from the successful eLearning projects, the project partners will decide on those project results, which would be combined and exploited. The results of this event will be presented by the project partners from Italy and Germany to the target groups in their countries. Elaborate an electronic databank of the eLearning projects results, best practices, methodologies, case studies, product and training providers and other relevant information, which will be very useful in the process of innovations introduction and ICT application focused on youth talent development and support in the school system. Consultations will be provided by the project partners to all interested educational institutions. Information will be made publicly available and the partners will make sure that it reaches both the teachers and students and the decision makers.
Expected results: Elaborated database of interested educational institutions in the three partner countries; conducted valuable informative face-to-face interviews with representatives of the interested educational organizations; conducted valorisation events; valorised useful eLearning projects products; elaborated project web-site presenting information about project results to be valorised, best practices, methodologies, case studies, product and training providers and other relevant information, which will be very useful in the process of innovations introduction and ICT application focused on youth talent development and support in the school system; provided consultations to all interested educational institutions; dissemination of information on the project results to representatives of all project target groups.
On 14 December 2007 in Vidinwill take place a closing event under the eTalent project, organized by the Municipality of Novo selo with the support and under the patronage of the newly elected mayor – Mr. Georgi Stoenelov.
The purpose of this seminar will be for the elaborated database and strategy for continuation to be presented before the local target groups and a consultation between project partners and the beneficiaries to take place.
On 25 November 2007 the electronic database of e-learning contents, solutions, materials and service providers has been completed and is now freely available online at the project web-site: www.e-talent.eu. After you enter the web-site, go to the image circled in red. Bulgarian is among the database languages.
All remaining project products will also be uploaded by 7 Dec, 2007.
◊ On Sept 11 in the building of the district administration in Vidin, and then on Sept 12 in Pazardjik, the partners under project ETALENT, co-financed by the eLearning program of the EU, lead by the Municipality of Novo selo, organized and conducted follow up seminars, the purpose of which was to valorise successful projects under the eLearning programme and other EC programmes /Minerva, FP6/ before representatives of the schools from the region of Vidin and Pazardjik, representatives of the regional education and training NGOs, regional and national media, regional educational inspectorates.
◊ The documentary on the eTalent project is now finalized. The film will be presented officially during the forthcoming seminars in Vidin and Pazardjik and will be disseminated together with the informational and promotional booklet.

◊ On June 15 in Cagliari, Italy, in hotel „Caesar’s”, was organized and conducted a follow up seminar for presenting the selected successful projects within the framework of eTalent before the Italian target groups.
◊ On June 12 in Dessau, Germany, in the building of the local branch of DAA, was organized and conducted a follow up seminar for presenting the selected successful projects within the framework of eTalent before the German target groups.
◊ The main valorisation event under the project – the valorisation conference - took place in Sofia, on 2-3 April 2007 in hotel “Rodina”.
In the conference took part representatives of all partner organizations, guests presenting successful projects under the eLearning programme and other EU programmes /Minerva, FP6/, representatives of schools from all over Bulgaria /Sofia region, Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Kardjali, Rousse, Silistra region/, NGOs, regional and national media, regional educational inspectorates.

On behalf of the Bulgarian schools, 144 High school «National leaders», Sofia presented their good practices in the development and implementation of innovative projects stimulating the talent of the students.
Presented was also the INFORMATIONAL BULLETIN of the NATIONAL INSTITUTE ON EDUCATION issued by Foundation “Minyu Balkanski” as well as educational activities of the Foundation.
On April 3 took place an open discussion aimed at problem /need – solution finding and matching. The flow of questions, proposals and ideas coming on both sides – from the schools’ representatives and from the projects presenters demonstrated to all participants how useful the conducted event has been and how many opportunities for collaboration between potential school beneficiaries and EU project implementers exist.
The partners under the eTalent project would like to thank all those who responded positively to our invitation to join the activities under our project and the conference itself. We will soon publish additional information on the products under the project and the forthcoming activities. ◊ On 29 Jan 2007 the partners are gathering in Sofia for their first partnership meeting, at which they will discuss their joint action-plan and logistics of the forthcoming activities. The participants in the meeting will be: Antoanetka Staneva and Lazarinka Andreeva from the Municipality of Novo Selo, Zornitsa Machanova and Miglena Molhova from Zinev Art Technologies Ltd., Giovanni Illomei from Esode Srl., Florian Hans from DAA-Braunschweig GmbH.
◊ The partners started their work under the eTalent project. The questionnaire for the school survey is ready and the partners are currently accumulating a database with all the schools, which would be interested to participate in the project. The survey and interviews are about to take place by mid March 2007.
